D|XP is a daily summer programming block on Disney XD that is dedicated to the world of gaming. D|XP will showcase games, publishers, event, and prominent personalities across the gaming landscape including both entertainment gaming and esports.
D|XP debuted on Saturday, July 15 and runs from 9:00PM to 3:00AM. It is a television and multiplatform destination that features content produced in collaboration with ESPN, Disney Digital Network and its Maker creators, IGN, Attack Media, Warner Bros. Television Group's Blue Ribbon Content, Banger Films, Electronic Sports League and VICE's Waypoint. The intent of programming block is to connect with gaming enthusiasts of all ages.
Original programming will be produced by the Disney Digital Network using its gaming editorial platform Polaris and Digomind Productions. One of the shows will be "Polaris Primetime," a one-hour gaming and variety show. It will be hosted by entertainment gaming personalities such as Jimmy Wong of Rocketjump and Strawburry17 (Meghan Camarena) and will also featured scripted comedy and skits, gaming guests such as MatPat, Joey Graceffa and sWooZie who will highlight various video game genres.
Disney Digital Network and Digomind will also produce "Parker Plays," a half-hour show hosted by Parker Coppins. Coppins runs the popular YouTube gaming channel ParkerGames, and the show will feature comedic gameplay commentary.
YouTube gaming personalities from Disney Digital Network’s Maker creators such as Jacksepticeye, Luzugames, Strawburry17, LordMinion777, and LDShadowLady will feature on the show "Polaris: Player Select" which will be a "greatest hits" compilation series. Clips from "Polaris Primetime," "Parker Plays," and "Polaris: Player Select" will spotlighted on Polaris' digital channels.
"Waypoint Presents" will cover and examine the world of gaming. It will dive into the reasons that people play games with a focus on the people, passion and politics. Important gaming stories will be covered, including profiles on the influential players in the industry, behind-the-scenes access to game creation, and exploring the world of competitive gaming.
Other programming on D|XP will include ESPN Esports programming providing front row access to major esports events; “The IGN Show,” a daily show hosted by Alanah Pearce (Charalanahzard), Naomi Kyle and team dedicated to delivering new and exclusive game footage, dispensing gaming tips, and covering the biggest gaming and pop culture events; “The Attack,” hosted by Alex Corea and Erin Steeby, is a variety show fusing sketch and commentary; Banger Films’ coverage of Nintendo’s E3 Splatoon, Arms and Pokkén tournaments, original comedy-driven gaming co-productions with Blue Ribbon Content; and series from ESL including speedrunning and another where professional gamers and amateurs compete against one another.
